Almost-Art : Favorite Artists Rakes collection

Ludwig Van Beethoven don't look now but . . .

John Dalston
Ludwig van Beethoven, 2007
acrylic on rake
The rake itself might be almost-art, but its function overwhelms the aesthetic consideration. Adding a little paint to the rake in the way depicted has not improved it much from either an aesthetic perspective or artistic significance consideration. And there wasn't much of an attempt to be artistic. This object is still probably most valuable as a rake. [AAR-3, AAR-5, AAR-6, AAR-7, AAR-8]
